Alarm starts with Modec settings correctly, but won't stop

One Camera on Ubuntu using Zoneminder v1.24.2. Camera is a Foscam (FI8918W) and seems to work with no issues.

When I have the Feed screen up for the one camera and the alarm is idle and I then move in front of it, the Alarm is initiated with my movement. All great except it will not turn off. I've reduced the Section length to 30 from 600 in the hopes that would work....but nada.

I opened the frame view and noticed that the motion score when I went in front went up to 70 and came down as I left, but then stayed at 50 for hours in the red. I even set the min max for alarm in zone settings to 10 and 49 to see if that would stop the alarm....but did not work.

This has to be something simple, but damn if I can figure it out.

Zoneminder shows a bunch of the following in zmwatch, but has not since the install date and I have restarted it several times since then:

08/08/11 20:21:01.740361 zmwatch[1603].INF [Watchdog starting]
08/08/11 20:21:01.740604 zmwatch[1603].INF [Watchdog pausing for 30 seconds]
08/08/11 20:21:31.742236 zmwatch[1603].ERR [Can't get shared memory id '7a6d0003', 3: No such file or directory]
08/08/11 20:21:31.742445 zmwatch[1603].ERR [Can't get shared memory id '7a6d0003', 3: No such file or directory]
08/08/11 20:21:41.743248 zmwatch[1603].ERR [Can't get shared memory id '7a6d0003', 3: No such file or directory]
08/08/11 20:21:41.743446 zmwatch[1603].ERR [Can't get shared memory id '7a6d0003', 3: No such file or directory]

I had a similar problem.
Monitors Linked had a problem I think. Are you sure that you are not using the command in Source Monitors Linked?

I solved by deleting the monitor and creating a new monitor with the same characteristics but not clicking on Monitors Linked.

I also have Ubuntu 11.04, Zoneminder v1.24.2, Foscam (FI8918W).

I hope you solve the problem

You have the monitor linked to itself. Delete the monitor and re-create it.

OK, so I believe you are correct that the camera is linked to itself. I deleted and then added a new camera and there was nothing linked when saved. Edit the camera and it keeps showing up in the linked monitors section.

Lots of fun.....but how do you remove it given there is no option to do that? Is there some setting I have that is enabling this?

Edit: Looks like if you add the monitor with it "enabled", it links it back to itself. If you disable the camera and add and then go back in and enable it, it doesn't setup the link. Pretty sure this is a bug of some sort, maybe fixed in the newer versions. Just a note, but if you edit after the initial setup.....the link is recreated.

In any case, thank you for the help. Man was that annoying.

Anyone have a script for control that includes brightness?
