Hello.
I downloaded the VM Appliance (Ubuntu, 1.24.2). Hardware-wise I gave the box 2 vCPUs and 512MB of ram. The HDD is on an enterprise fiber channel SAN, far faster than any single SATA drive. The physical CPUs of the box has 8 X5560 Xeons. Hardware speed shouldn't be an issue.
I have 2 Foscam FI8905W cameras plugged in with wired networking, static IPs. I call them IPCam1 and IPCam2.
I added both cameras to ZoneMinder and both were green only for a minute or 2. Then IPCam2 went red, IPCam1 was green. If I clicked on IPCam2 it was just a black window. IPCam2 is still pingable and from the Foscam web interface I get video properly.
I rebooted the camera and it still won't come up. I rebooted the server without change.
I unplugged IPCam1 and IPCam2. Then only plugged in IPCam2. IPCam2 now works. But when I plug in IPCam1 it is only red with a black window. I can switch between these but it seems like whichever camera gets plugged in first is what ZoneMinder will see.
Previously I had ZoneMinder on Fedora Core with these same 2 cameras without issue. It was also VMware but not the appliance. I like the idea of the appliance though
