[Solved] Recordings doesn't stop

Hi all,

I'm using zm 1.24.2-8ubuntu1 in 11.04-64bit with IN-2905.

With alarm-problems under conditions clouds, sun and wind I have created six zones with "Best, medium sensitivity".

I changed settings "Overload Frame Ignore Count" to 4, "Reference Image Blend %ge" to 9, "Pre Event Image Count" to 21, "Post Event Image Count" to 50.

Now the alarm with record starts as I wish. But the record stop to late. The alarm-action goes 30 secs, but the record stop at 1200 secs.

What setting I should change, that the record will stop 15 sec after the end of the action for alarm ?

Thanks in advance

Regards Michael

Hi,

I changed "Pre Event Image Count" back to 10 and "Post Event Image Count" back to 10. I'm thinking this is the default value.

The alarm-settings with record-start is now perfekt, but the record is runing without an end and the disk become full.

Any hints.

Regards Michael

Change all your settings back to default one by one, restarting ZM after each change until symptom disappears. As a thought: we're talking only one camera here right? otherwise you may have linked monitors causing a perpetual alarm.

Hi bb99,

it's only one IN-2905 via WLAN.

I changed many times step by step to default setting during the last days.

Now I have settings, which are optimal for starting a record by alarm. There are no problems with clouds, sun or wind.

But the record doesn't stop ... but the current record stop at the next alarm. Then starts the next record without an end until the next alarm.

Thanks and regards

Michael

Example: I cleared all events, restart zm, went outside late night with our dog (record is starting, but don't stop), returned (first record stop, but the second record doesn't stop til I made in following early morning the next run with our dog.

Thanks Michael

Sorry but I have to ask: The monitor function is set to Modect or Mocord?

I was able to duplicate your problem, I think. If I lowered the reference blend too low for the environment and the alert/alarm frame rate varied at all, the recording would continue until I stopped it manually. I couldn't stop the recording by creating another alarm as you describe though. Anyway try gradually increase the monitor reference blend until it works. I went from a value of 2 (continuous record) to a value of 25 and then backed it down to the best performance (original value +3). Worth a try.

Hello bj99,

sorry about this late answer. I was very busy with other work the last days.

First: Modect

Second: After changing the reference blend (original 7) +3 to 10, the record doesn't stop til now.

Now I could change the value up to 25 and down to 2 ... but record doesn't stop with any value.

The alarm is working fine, but something must be wrong in my configuration.

Thanks in advance.

Regards Michael

Leave your Reference Image Blend %ge setting at 10 and check your zone settings against these:

I reduced the 6 zones to 3 and configured the zone-parameter as before posted.

That doesn't help ... now the recordings (after perfect alarm) don't stop anyway.

@bj99

Thanks in advance

I'm thinking that the first entries about "monitor 2" ??? generate my general problem of "don't stopping recording".

Any hints ?

EDIT: After a new restart I saw, that at "Sep 29 14:06:39" the postman was going through one alarm-zone.

Hi all,

my problem isn't solved till now.

I reduced it to one zone with the settings above.

The alarm and the recording start perfectly ... but now the record of an event never stop.

Any other hints ? Thanks in advance.

One zone? One camera?
