(SOLVED) eyezm installation problem on ZM 124.2

Hi there, hope this is the correct place to post this..

Ive been using ZM 124.2 now for quite a while, its been rock stable on my Ubuntu 10.04 server..

Recently bought eyezm for me iPhone to view cam feeds but when I installed the p2fs3 script i get the following errors:

Located PHP5-GD package, no need to install

Now, obviously a permission/ownership issue yes? Seems like the installer cant create,modify files and directories

All the files/directories that cant be chowned or created are showing when I go to usr/share/zoneminder in terminal

I tried to install the script as root and the initial zoneminder install was done as root. When I look at the eyezm debug it says it sees the server but the xml isnt installed

Can anyone give me a pointer as to what went wrong here? Ive got a feeling its something simple but I cant see it...
