Hi! I have a China PCI-E card, based on Conexant CX25850.
I installed a Fedora Core 16, and it didn't install the modules for it.
Does somebody know how or if is possible to enable this card chip in Linux?
I was googling and found that CX25840 module have some info about it, and I already have the fw for this, but how do I use this fw to load this module?
I can't see a /dev/video0 , this file doesn't exist.
Can somebody help me on that?
Thks

Re: Conexant CX25850
Hello,
take a look for module cx28521, in 2.6.x kernels is in staging status, but today I found, that in kernel 3.1.4 has been moved to standard modules. I'm going to buy card with same chip. Can you write if you will be successful to get this card working?

Re: Conexant CX25850
Hello,
I was able to get working capture card with Conexant 25821 in SuSE 11.4 with 2.6.37 kernel using this patch http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.d ... ture/44985 and recompile module. After that I can see /dev/videoX in /dev.
