Using a creative webcam with zoneminder

Hi,
I've just installed the latest zoneminder build on a debian distro. I'm having issue's getting this webcam working. I'm not sure it's being detected as the green light doesnt come on. Can anyone offer me advice on getting it seen by debian. It's a creative labs, model is vf-0060.
