Hi, I have any problem with the configuration of ZoneMinder with my encoder...
My encoder is a 4ch and have the rtsp protocol activated, while zoneminder is into Xubuntu distro and it go without problem.
But when I try to insert a camera (with rtsp protocol(encoder) ) into ZoneMinder, the name of "source" is red and can not display the camera....
While if I try with VLC i see the camera....

Excuse me for the bad english...
I hope someone help me

I am also having grate deal of problems getting RTSP working.

No I still have not been able to get RTSP working within zoneminder, but can get it working within other linux software.

So the RTSP is a problem with zoneminder.

I know ... is a big problem .... you were referring to other surveillance software?
