Recommended Distros for 1.25?

Hi,

I was wondering what Linux distro(s) are recommended for a new ZoneMinder install? The versions in the wiki are a little out of date. I was considering a switch from CentOS to Ubuntu on this server, but I'm not sure I like the new window manager it's using, so I thought I'd see what everyone else was using.

Hi, it's been a while since you posted your question, I think that the fact that you have had no answer until now speaks for itself. There seems to be no distribution that will compile particularly well...
I have recently installed 1.25.0 on ubuntu 11.10 following this guide: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... rom_source and I must say that after many attempts with other distributions and guides it went fairly well. However, I am still getting plenty of errors on my logs...
About the window manager: I would suggest you install zm on a server distro without any window manager.
