Unable to start zoneminder

Hi, running ubuntu 10.10
apache2 installed: entering localhost in a brower returns "It Works"
In a terminal window entering service zoneminder start returns "success"
So it would appear that all is ok, however entering localhost/zm/ in a browser returns:
"Not Found
The requested URL /xm/ was not found on this server."
How do I proceed from here?
