I have a new install on Debian Squeeze with zoneminder (Architecture: i386 Version: 1.24.2-8). I am using a BlueCherry PV-149 4 port pci card. I have one camera hooked up and setup for recording mode. When I go into monitor view I only see a new frame every 5 seconds approx even though there is constant movement in front of the camera. The cpu load is Load: 0.09 / Disk: 1% to Load: 0.18 / Disk: 1% from the web interface. The card is spec'd at 120fps, I have that camera set to 30fps. I hope this old hardware can live a bit longer as I know frame grabbers are pretty old technology but it should be able to be used to record 2 or 3 cameras wouldn't you think? Also the control/stop/back/forward buttons on the monitor view don't work. Is this a problem with the java that the web interface is running? I tried it from both IE and Chrome. I looked through several forum searches and tried a few settings changes, but no joy. Please, any ideas what might get this working would be greatly appreciated.
