hi there
completely new to linux and saw zm and decided to try and
get a system going . dl the above and would like to know
how to get the iso file installed on a completely new computer
(no os on it at all) .Its just to run zm and nothing else.
Any help advice would be great.

Burn iso to DVD disk, insert into DVD drive on new system, boot. On the desk top should be an icon that starts the installation process. But, what you've chosen is an old version of ZM and an old version of Ubuntu. I'm suggesting having a look at this one: http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewto ... =6&t=18782. The forums cover this version quite well (1.24.3 was updated to 1.24.4 quite fast with limited coverage in forums). A simple search should answer any questions you have after installing or simply post against 1.25 main topic.
