Hi,

I just installed zm on my gentoo x64.
Now, when trying to open the page I only get:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /mnt/raid/data/Linux/www/localhost/htdocs/zoneminder/includes/functions.php on line 2437

As far as I found solutions by searching the forum I should enable the short tags in php.ini
But the default value is "On". Explicitly enabling doest not change anything...

any ideas?

Did you check the second entry? There's more then one and it was the second value that fixed it for me but I got the main ZM screen but nothing else.
