ZM Record MPEG

Hi,
I just installed zoneminder 1.25.0 in ubuntu 12.04. I setup my camera successfully as I can see it perfectly in the montage.
I changed it to record, and after some searching, found where ZM is storing the result "/usr/share/zoneminder/events". By looking at the paths in options, I figured how to change where they are saved for the future.
But I noticed that ZM is storing a bunch of JPEGs in multiple sub-directories and was wondering if there was an option or way to just combine them into an MPEG file and not have a million jpeg files?
I tried changing the options in ZM to say that ffmpeg is installed and where to find it, thinking that would do the conversion, but I didn't see any changes.
Thanks for any help.
