Dear All.

I'm trying to develop a 'public' Surveilance camera system.

I know that zoneminder is capable on monitoring so many IP camera.

But the 'monitoring' schema is 'pull', that is the IP camera have to open their port for zoneminder to 'pull'.
If this is for private network ... there is no problem.

but since my scenario will use public network between camera and zoneminder ... this 'pull' scheme will rise security problem.

My question is : Is there any software that can pull images from IP camera and push it to zone minder ?

Put a low power/inexpensive router, such as a Microtek (routerboard), between your remote camera's and the Internet. You can then establish a VPN between the remote Microtek routers and the router at our main location with the ZoneMinder installation. At that point, the remote routers will be securely available to just your main location.
