zmxap across subnets

I'm just starting to play with integrating my zoneminder with misterhouse. I've read up on zmxap and have it installed and running on my zm box.

I recently split my network into seperate subnets, and realize that ZM is on one subnet, and Misterhouse is on the other.

I'm not very familiar with xAP - but will zmxap be able to talk to my misterhouse on a different subnet? If not, are there any settings which would allow zmxap to send to a different subnet (not just broadcast on its own subnet)?
