I've been using another solution for quite a few years now, but some of the features of ZoneMinder looked useful. Having taken the time to read the documentation, I decided to give it a whirl.

I had one problem, at the root of which was my preference to stick with lighttpd instead of moving everything to Apache. A few minutes in the forum, a few quick tweaks and everything is up and running. Scarily painless and straightforward, thanks to everybody responsible.

Could you post how to setup lighttpd instead of apache2?
