Zoneminder 1.25X Probing Camera Info Issues

I have setup Zoneminder 1.25X. I have a total of 7 cameras,5 Dlink DCS 3220 IP and 3 Pelco Spectra Dome Cameras. I have successfully setup the IP cameras but when it comes to setting these analog cameras I am having trouble finding the capture palette settings and etc. When I attempt to run:

zmu -d /dev/video0 -q -v

I get

Error, failed to query crop capabilities /dev/video0: Success

I can see there was a bug in 2011:

but would imagine that this has been rectified since. Can someone please guide me in determining how I can aquire the settings of the cameras so I can configure them in Zoneminder?

System info:

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Desktop 32-bit
Zoneminder 1.25.0 (from Ubuntu repository)
Bluecherry BC-08240A - 8 port video, 8 port audio realtime hardware compression card

I can see there is a patch for slackware but what about ubuntu 12.04.

Best and easiest thing to do is email bluecherry support. I believe they have a special driver that needs to be installed for the card to work properly.

Thanks for the reply. The issue isnt the dvr card, I have already installed the solo6010-dkm driver from bluecherry and it is working correctly

Does the videp input 0-9 mean "device channel" or does it mean "/dev/video0-8"? Also I can see UYVY under capture palettes but have tried multiple settings without success. What gives?

I found this on the bluecherry site and have confirmed these findings ('extended' layouts) in my probing of the settings for the card/camera.

When I run use:

as you can see from what I posted below, I am able to see the video inputs(8,9 respectively) and the capture palette(UYVY [UYUV 4:2:2 Packed, UYVY])
