Event streaming

Post by atreus769 »

I have Zoneminder 1.25.0 installed on my Ubuntu 12.04.1 x64 server at my house. I can view the live stream, and I can also create a video of my event. But when I initially click on the event, it starts to stream but not like it is suppose to. What happens is that the last image is show first, then the screen goes black and I get the message, "Time to next event = 2 seconds". It never gets any farther than that. When I look under the Stills screen, that is the sequence that it is saved in also. The last image is the first in the sequence, then it goes to what is actually the first image and continues on.

Has anyone seen this before? Or have an idea of what I can do to fix this? It's kind of a pain to have to go to the stills screen and cycle through to view, or have to create a video every time to view the event.

Thanks in advance!

Slow down the fps of the cams.

After more than 15 years, no longer using ZM as surveillance system.
Now in the dark side, using a commercial system...

Last night I changed my 'Maximum FPS' & 'Alarm Maximum FPS' to 10.00 and let it go all night. Same thing though, it will record events fine, but the last image is the one that is stored first in the sequence of images.

This is what is in my 'Buffers' Tab:

Image Buffer Size: 40
Warmup Frames: 25
Pre Event: 40
Post Event: 100
Stream Replay: 1000
Alarm Frame Count: 1

Nevermind, got it working. I changed my FPS to 8 and it seems to be working better now. Give it a day to record at this and see what happens. I have 2 IP cams on the wireless network and just changed both of them to 8 FPS.

Thanks again!
