Zoneminder work with OpenCV?

Post by TechGuyz »

I am new to this product and found it while searching for a home security solution. Does this work with OpenCV I would love to be able to determine if an animal is tripping my alarm or a human or read license plates of cars. I found this fork what seems to work but its few years old and would love to see this integrated into the main build if it hasn't been already: I cant post a url to this so could someone please adjust me my post for it https :// bitbucket. org/ gorban/ zoneminder/ wiki/ overview

I believe a opencv plugin type architecture would be all that is needed to be the absolute best choice for surveillance software. My next question does this program work with encrypted communication between the cameras? I saw an application called VideoJak that allows someone to loop a video and I figured if this worked with https connections to cameras and such then we would be immune to that attack. Will this program allow https connections to my cameras? If not how can I encrypt the data coming off them to my zoneminder box?

Thanks
