(Solved)Can i save 2 monitors 2 different ways?

Post by timsdeepsky »

Is it possible to force my second monitor to save the recorded video from it as one large file(it is always on record)....My first monitor and second monitor now saves as 10 minute segments in separate folders....I am aware that i can choose to use a deep filesystem hierarchy across the board for all cameras in the options,,,,but i want my first monitor to save as 10 minute segments(which it is doing),,and my second monitor to save as one large file(currently saving as 10 minute increments)....I believe i may have to deal with the database and coding perhaps....Any input would be awesome....

Monitor::misc::section_length is the setting you're looking for. It's been my experience with the PV-143 that all monitors on a single chip (each card has one chip) must be exactly the same but never tried changing section length; seems like it should work as I think on it.
