has somebody managed to use a Nilox NetWideye 300 wireless pan/tilt camera with zoneminder? I can't.
This is what i did:
Add New remote monitor
remote host name "192.168.1.6" (ip of the camera)
remote host path "/snapshot.cgi" (path to the snapshot made by the camera)
(if i connect to "http : / / 192.168.1.6/snapshot.cgi" i see just a picture as it should be)
I set also width and height and that's it.
I think it's correct but if I try to see the monitor i just see a black square.
I did something wrong?
Did somebody else tried to configure this camera?
Thanks
Nilox NetWideye 300
Re: Nilox NetWideye 300
try to use remote host path "/videostream.cgi"
and if you set login and password to enter in camera configuration panel use remote host name: user:password@192.168.1.6

Re: Nilox NetWideye 300
I tried everything you suggested.
If i try to access directy ... (user:pass@host/path)
videostream.cgi is correct and it shows the video stream as it is supposed to do.
snashot.cgi just shows a static picture.
but still i cant see anything, just a black square, nothing else.
On the camera i added a new user with a password (i tried even with no password).
I setup zoneminder to access user:password@ipaddress but it seems to be not working.
If i check camera logs i see that user had access (approx every 10 seconds).
Maybe there are some missing dependencies? I am running derbian.
Thanks
Enrico

Re: Nilox NetWideye 300
Check your shared memory settings, if not, post logs.
After more than 15 years, no longer using ZM as surveillance system.
Now in the dark side, using a commercial system...
Re: Nilox NetWideye 300
I didnt change shared memory settings on zoneminder.
It's at default value 0x7a6d0000
which log you want to see?

Re: Nilox NetWideye 300
Stop your system, restart it and copy/paste here the /var/log/syslog file content from the start time.
