ZM 1.25 on Ubuntu 12.04LTS doesn't zip nor upload on FTP

Hello all,
I disabled the home directory encryption as this caused random issues with other applications. However, as I tried to make ZM work and upload events, I get tons of this message:
The Videos end folder has 777 permissions, so I don't understand what may be wrong there since anybody can read and write from that directory.
Nothing at all is uploaded on the server itself.
What may be wrong in this setup?
