Ip camera not working with zoneminder

Hello All

I am trying to configure a locally attached ip camera with zoneminder.

Here are my system details.

Zonminder version - 1.25
Camera - Unknown

protocol = Http
method = simple
Hostname = admin:9999@192.168.1.253
port 80
path = /ipcam/avc.cgi?audiostream=1 ( I have confirmed this by running this on windows and capturing requests originated from my desktop in wireshark)
image colors = 24 bit
width = 640
height = 480
Orientation = normal.

So when i try to see a video, it just give me a blank screen.

Also when i try to open 192.168.1.253/ipcam/avc.cgi?audiostream=1 it asks me for a password and username and then
it hangs.

Is there something which i forgot to configure?

Any kind of help is greatly appreciated. \

what happens if you put

admin:9999@192.168.1.253/ipcam/avc.cgi?audiostream=1

in your browser?

I tried what you have posted in the thread.

Its actually opening popups for avc.cgi and then its getting hanged.
