Is there enough PC for my DVR

Is there enough PC for my DVR

I am building planning on building a DVR for a customer of mine. Currently the business is running 8 CCD cameras off of a store bought PC based DVR system. Needless to say, the system is full of problems and unreliable. I already have 2 - Kodicom KMC-8800 cards to put in, but the processor and memory I am planning on are the real question. I am currently planning on using and AMD Athlon II x4 and 4GB DDR3 RAM on a Ubuntu 64bit system. I will be adding two more CCD cameras to the mix for a total of 10 cameras. Will the system be up to the challenge of constant recording in color @ 3fps or is the load going to be to high? Since it is a small business the budget is fairly tight so that is the reason for going with the AMD Athlon line instead of something at the higher end, but if I need to bump it up then so be it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you!
