problems with multiple monitors

Post by eschnapp »

Hi all
after 2 days i was successfully able to install the tw68-v2 drivers on my ubuntu 12.04 and am able to see video in zoneminder... the DVR card itself is some cheap card based on Techwell 6815 chipset and has 8 channels...
I noticed through playing that all the 8 channels are located on channels 0 and 1 of /dev/video0 through /dev/video3...

when i add multiple monitors, as long as they are from separate /dev/video devices there are no issues... but if i try to add two monitors on the same device but two separate channels (0 and 1) the video starts either overlaying both channels on top of each other or sometime even flip between other unrelated channels... once that happens it cannot be stopped with just reverting the old values, the zm has to be restarted to regain stable video...

all my monitors are setup as local with NTSC/YUYV 640x460 resolution...

any help is much appreciated

thx much!!

Under options, config, "CAPTURES_PER_FRAME" change setting from 1 to 2. That should fix the issue.
