Quick Quesiton

Hello,

I am literally brand new to ZoneMinder. I just have a quick question. I already have a linux server running in my home that takes care of a few other things (Plex, fileserver etc...). I'm looking to install a home security camera system. I understand zoneminder is a powerful program with the ability to act as a DVR etc. What I want to do in my home is run a ZoneMinder DVR on my current linux server and then use Rasberry Pi's to run the cameras I install. My question is is there a (fairly) easy way to get that video from the pi to the ZoneMinder server? If anyone could tell me if this kind of setup is practical and/or do-able, that would be awesome. I was thinking maybe VLC could stream the video from the camera? But I may be barking up the wrong tree.
