ZoneMinder with 50+ cameras

Hi,

I have been assigned the task to set-up a solution to monitor at least 50 cameras in several buildings across our University.

It seems that Zone Minder could do the task, but I have zero experience in that field so I need some help to make wise choices.

- camera: should be automatic day and night, mostly WiFi (preferably 802.11n), should support offload of motion detection like this http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... nDetection

- server: what number and speed of CPUs, what size of RAM do I need to support 50 cameras in Mocord? Or should I need s[lit on how many servers?
