Good afternoon.
I can not deal with problemoy: zoneminder loses contact with the camera and initiates the alarm, but loses her only percentage between 20:00 to 07:00, in the rest of the time everything is OK. the camera is connected by ethernet, the type of record
with the camera everything is OK, ping is not lost, network equipment checked in cron also did not ... it is not clear why this happens

Re: zoneminder loses contact with the camera
it reads like a camera problem. Have you tried viewing or grabbing the camera output during those hours? Maybe you could post the Source configuration for the camera and mention which camera it is.

Does this camera have night vision/LEDs that kick in at 20:00-ish and off at 7:00-ish? Just wondering. Marginal power supply overloaded by big infra red leds? Wild thought ... but maybe?Magic919 wrote:Maybe you could post the Source configuration for the camera and mention which camera it is.
Ping is not a great diagnostic tool, you may have a problem with network congestion, a faulty cable, misbehaving camera that a ping packet goes through 99.8% ok, but the load of a video stream breaks it. I use a ping stream to check that the cameras are there and alive, but don't rely on it beyond that
Can you confirm that this is a wired camera, not wireless? With no wireless links involved?
Machine load -- is the computer running ZoneMinder heavily loaded by other activities after 20:00 (either CPU based, or network based, e.g. Bit Torrent and such ...)

Re: zoneminder loses contact with the camera
it also seems to be happening at times of low light? cameras especially cheap ones dont deal well with low light and the grabs/stream are much higher at low light times. Is the link upto these requirements and is the machine?
