Hi, thank you for zoneminder. I'm only just starting to use it but it seems awesome so far!

I have just set up a wanscam jw0011, a cheap outdoor IP camera. It worked first time once I followed the instructions here: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... rom_a_.deb

In particular, the stuff after the first paragraph!

There are two things worth confirming for the forums:

First, the video path for these is /videostream.cgi?user=[username]&pwd=[password]

(You can set up three levels of user for the camera through its configuration menu, so I set one up just for zoneminder viewing.)

Second, for what it's worth you can Telnet into these things: username is root and password is 123456

I really have nothing to compare it with: I've never owned a home surveillance camera before. The resolution is 640x480 and the picture is clear enough. Hope this helps someone.
