bad performance

how can i improve the perfromance of the appl?
how many camers can i activate simoltanly ?

Hi,
I'm also a newbie ... but this I had already detect: the performance depends on the HW, on the settings and on the resolution of the cameras. The most important setting is 'frames per second' ('Maximum FPS'). And one camera (e.g. 1280x800) with 25 fps needs nearly the same CPU-performance than 2 cameras with 12 fps. And the HDD has to be fast (recorded is not a stream but a lot of single jpgs - the filesystem has to be fast).
