Failing to get zoneminder to connect to any camera

I had atleast two cameras connected to zoneminder. I recently reinstalled with ubuntu 13.10. Now I cannot seem to get any camera to connect.

I am kind of at a loss of what to do next.

Note: I put in user inplace of the username I actually use. Same with password and hostname.

Ahh I have made progress.

1) Shutdown apparmor. At this point the UI registers that events are collected.
2) a2enmod cgi, according to ubuntu install wiki page. Now I can see the event.
