Just reinstalled xoneminder on Ubuntu 13.10.
I can bring up the zoneminder page but when I click on "Add New Monitor", nothing happens.
Ideas?

I have no idea what it means.
I'm suspecting some kind of permissions error, and I'm using peppermint linux, which is really Ubuntu.
Re: Add New Monitor button doesn't work
I followed the instructions at this page and it resolved the issue for me.

Good luck.

If you really want to run Ubuntu 13.10, see:
http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... on_changes
Better yet, upgrade to Ubuntu 14.04! See:

Re: Add New Monitor button doesn't work
Hello everyone!
First of all I am a complete noob to Linux, so please bear with me.
After several days now I managed to get Zoneminder to work. Well, KINDA.
I followed several guides and it still took a lot of fiddling around with everything to finally be able to access the webinterface.
Just...I can't click some of the buttons.
1. Entering the ip in the browser brings up the login screen.
2. Entering login information brings up an empty screen, which seems to be the first problem imo as it makes me type in the ip again to access the actual inteface now.
3. Clicking the "add monitor" button does simply nothing.
I've tried the solutions in the other threads on this forum but they don't seem to work for me. It's also not letting me upgrade to 1.26 or any other version of zoneminder for some reason. I might be doing something wrong or missing something here though.
I am using Knoppix 7.2 on a hdd install which is otherwise working just fine. Mysql, PhP and Apache are up and running.
The above workaround that suggested to "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:iconnor/zoneminder" is bringing up an error:
add-apt-repository ppa:iconnor/zoneminder
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/add-apt-repository", line 125, in <module>
ppa_info = get_ppa_info_from_lp(user, ppa_name)
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/softwareproperties/ppa.py", line 80, in get_ppa_info_from_lp
curl.perform()
pycurl.error: (77, 'Problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?)')
as well as "sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/iconnor-zoneminder-saucy.list" brings up a "new file"
I am REALLY lost here.
