I am running 1.25.0 on ubuntu 12.04 and before I attempt to upgrade, mainly for an updated look, it would be interesting to see what the new skin looks like. Anybody have some screenshots?
Thanks!

So.. I was curious enough about the new skin that I installed ubuntu 14.04 in a VM. Unfortunately ZM 1.27.0 is not in the repos yet so I had to build zoneminder from source. This was a little bit painful mainly due to being unfamiliar with how Apache 2.4.7 config works, specifically with how virtualhost cgi-script config works. I used CMAKE instead of autotools to start off, and that required additional packages. Which packages to install took a bit of guess work since some of them have been renamed between Ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04. Anyway, long story short, the new flat skin provides the exact same interface unless I am mistaken, but it just has new fonts from google's font api, which it must have Internet access to in order to work right since it downloads from the Google API every time you launch the UI.
I am including a screenshot of the new look provided by the flat skin.css in ZM 1.27.0. Nevermind. I have tried uploading a screenshot but the forum is not showing the image in this post for some reason.
Although I was hoping for more of an overhaul of the UI (such as this skin provides:
