Using record function for time-lapse video

Trying to setup an IP camera to do a time-lapse video and I'm not understanding how the record function works.

My camera is set to do 10FPS, the monitor definition in zm has no FPS settings. When I changed the function to record I started getting events like I expected, but the duration and number of frames seem wildly random so far.

Is there a default duration or number of frames that should be in each event?

I might have jumped the gun on asking that question. It seems to have settled down to 10 minute segments now.
