Streaming (vs jpg 'video') discussions invariably focus on how to get zm to connect to various cameras. Got that working and it is cool.
I need assistance with viewing zm playback/monitor stream with firefox.
Jpeg frames works but is dog slow over Internet at the quality/size I want. I feel sure that streaming would be much better if I could get it working.
Nph-zms (and zms) is apparently initialising since the browser presents a media player plugin (vlc, but others in other browsers.) however the plugin always states that the stream is an unsupported format and refuses to play.
I have tried every combination of MPEG_LIVE_FORMAT I can think of with varying degrees of failure.
Has anyone got this to work?
Unsupported playback/monitor stream
Re: Unsupported playback/monitor stream
I've yet to get it to work, I'd be curious others experiences as well...
There is some chatter about it on github issues, but no real information. Would be nice to reduce bw when streaming remotely over the internet. Locally within my LAN, I don't really care, uses more bw, but it's all gigabit connections anyway.
ETA: See thread: https://github.com/ZoneMinder/ZoneMinder/pull/404
