Vertical colored bars/stripes with high res IP-camera's

Hey,

I'm running zoneminder on a ESXI enviroment. (SSD 8GB for OS, SATA 250GB for data, 8GB memory).
Next to it, I'm having 5 high res IP camera's from foscam (1Mega), and 2 old IP-camera's of WANscam.

The high res camera's are configured as rtsp
  • ffmpeg
  • modetect
  • rtsp://USER:PWD@1IP-ADDRESS:80/videoMain
  • 1280 / 720
  • 32 bit color
My 5 high res IP camera's have a lot of vertical colored bars in zoneminder. Even zoneminder sees this as movement.
When I look at the camera's with vlc, everthing seems fine.

In zoneminder, I've played with already a lot of settings over the last weeks (buffers, memory, resolutions...). But till today, I can't get it to work properly.
If anybody could point me to the right direction, this would be great...

What do you mean by vertical bars?
Does it look like this: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... SP_streams

If so, its the infamous ffmpeg smudging problem

I've followed your link, and with changing the frame rates in the camera itself, it seems to hold. No more vertical bars anymore.
I've changed it to:
- Frame Rate: 3 (default 10)
- Key Frame Rate: 10 (default 30)

I'll keep an eye on it if nothing else give issues, but for the moment, it seems fine...

Thanks!
