Vertical Stripe / Noise?

I'm using Dahua4300s cameras.

I tried using the max resolution of the camera 3MP and when I do I get vertical stripes and noise constantly.

In VLC I only get the noise for a fraction of a second when first opening up the stream, and it remains consistently good after that.

I'm using FFMPEG and RTSP.

So far the only resolution that seems to work is 720p, which is fine, but not what I want.

Any thoughts on how to go about troubleshooting this?

I have an image on Imgur that I can't post here due to new user spam checking (apparently) if you put in the Imgur URL the file is /MobKSCh.png

I use Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I Outdoor HD 3MP cameras, and have the same problem. What works for me is to change the settings for Maximum FPS to be higher than what the camera is streaming.

Your imgur picture shows that the camera is streaming at 25+ fps, so set the ZM Console/Source to a Maximum FPS of 30 fps. (or so)

I try to save drive space, so I set my cameras to stream on at 12 fps, and Maximum FPS is set to 15 because the fps can jump around.

I also found that the PC I have running zoneminder needed a lot more ram to be able to record at high frame rates like yours.
