Forced Alarms Zmu and missing time

I have a camera setup to continuously record a 1fps. During an alarm event it will increase to 5fps. I am manually triggering events using the zmu -a command and then cancelling the alarm using zmu -c.
The problem I'm seeing it that all of the alarm frames are being recorded however anything leading up to an alarm or just slightly after is not being cataloged in the database events; however, the images are there in the events folder. Later, zmaudit appears to make some corrections but not really.
Any ideas?
I've seen this on 1.26.5 as well.
