Maybe once or twice a month my main Camera will stop showing any video, if i reset the server, the camera comes back to life. This is the Error log file..

I would obvious like to over come this issue or at the very least get an email when the camera isnt showing any new frames.

Comments, suggestions?

Take the hint, your camera doesn't want to talk to you :)

You might get more useful replies if you add some more info ...

What camera is it?
How is the camera connected (wired, wireless?)
Do you have other cameras that are affected/not?
When ZM won't talk to the camera, can you still reach it from the server (in a web browser, etc.)
What's the spec of the server (memory, etc) -- are you running out of resources? What else is the server doing?

I've had something like this -- resetting the server was no use. It was the camera that was broken -- constantly streaming video and images eventually tickled a memory leak in the camera, which would then just drop the connection, repeatedly. Rebooting the camera once a week, automated, solved my problem. You say that you need to reboot the SERVER? Makes me wonder if that's fixing, or masking the problem :)

Wired, POE

One other Foscam, not affected that is wireless

Yes,

Quad core 1.7Ghz with 8gb Ram, it does nothing other then zoneminder and collect dust, sometimes plex.

I believe it is the camera that causes the problem, but zoneminder wont pick it back up when it works again. I have a Vera 3 ZWave controller that picks up the JPEG stream of the camera and when I noticed when I try to view the camera in the vera software, it drops out of zoneminder until I reset the zoneminder server, not the PC itself. I do hate this camera but am wondering why zoneminder wont pick it back up when it comes online.
