Trouble with event viewer

Post by Ritmo2k »

I have an instance running on centos 7 x64, resource usage is very low with 1/3 physical ram commit and 1/3 load. If I open up the event list for a monitor and show timeline, the display is extremely responsive however when viewing an event the progression is several times slower than real time and the button response is so slow that it often doesn't even acknowledge ffwd or next for example. The camera frame rates are 5fps at 352x240, the image sizes on disk are 8Kb.

Some iostats for the device holding the images for a 5 second duration are:

Code: Select all

Device: rrqm/s wrqm/s r/s w/s rMB/s wMB/s avgrq-sz avgqu-sz await r_await w_await svctm %util
sdb 0.00 0.20 0.00 51.20 0.00 0.69 27.47 4.09 79.95 0.00 79.95 0.98 5.00
That doesn't look overwhelmed to me. The performance for the event viewer is the same in ie11 or chrome.
Can anyone shed some light on what I can look at to make the viewer a bit more fluid?

Thanks!

So, I am using Grandstream GXV3504's and a power outage reset these and for some reason they all reverted to 30fps which was overwhelming the monitors even though they were capped to the original setting of 5fps.

For the sake of understanding, is it a large task for a monitor to drop frames? Seems mine would drop more the expected input and drag a single frame on for several image captures while this was occurring?

Thanks.
