I am new to the site and I'm investigating ZoneMinder to replace our BlueIris software. I am getting ready to deploy 5 Trendnet TV-IP321PI and 24 Trendnet TV-IP320PI IP Cameras. I would like to know what system requirements (CPU and RAM) are necessary for this type of setup. I'm deploying the Trendnet cameras in a new area of our business and would like to scale to a 1U Server if possible as we are constrained for space. With our current deployed setup we use BlueIris with at most 12 cameras at 10fps per machine (we have 6 machines). We use Acer Veriton X4618G Systems with 4 GB of RAM, Intel Core i7-2600 3.4GHz running on Windows 7 64bit, and Ubiquiti UVC and UVC Dome cameras (gen 1 and later) . The machines run fairly well with 12 cameras with memory utilization at about 50% and CPU at 30% to 35% most of the time.

Do you have the Trendnet cameras working?

I'm trying to get working monitor setup for the 320P

I'm running 7 720P cameras and 1 1080p cameras and plan to add another 8 on the attached VM config - plenty of room to grow won't even be slightly worried about compute resources. It's at 10% CPU utilization

The host is a Cisco UCS C220 M3 with 2x 4 fore Xeon E5-2609 @ 2.4 GHz with 64GB ram and 2.72TB useable in Raid 6
