Zoneminder emails when stopped

Is there a way to have Zoneminder email me if the service has stopped?

I noticed today when logging into the console that the service was not running. I would like to get an email when it has stopped for whatever reason.

Dunno about zoneminder, but you might check into monit. It can monitor services, notify when they die and restart them automatically.

Health monitoring services are designed to do exactly that.
I use Zabbix myself because it is readily available for CentOS, but there are others to choose from.
