I mistakenly clicked the xml option in the display tab and now can't get back to the classic view of the console on that machine. How do I fix that?

open in incognito window.
Or, clear your cookie for the site. I did the same thing on accident.

This sounds like the same problem when some get stuck in the mobile skin.
To get out, put the following in your browser:
http://you.server.com/zm/?skin=classic
Note the mobile and xml skins are going away, not in the next release, but in the release after that.
