Hi,
I using ZM 1.28 in Centos 7. I install through yum. Last week I update all the system including the ZM using "yum update" then I saw the ZM is update to version 1.29.
After updating the ZM cannot be use. I try google it and found this instruction:
https://github.com/ZoneMinder/ZoneMinde ... ME.Centos7
I carefully read it and do what the instruction say for upgrading. The upgrade went well. However, the only problem is when I open the website.
On the top it still says the version is still V 1.28.1 and in RED. When I click it say
Version mismatch, system is version 1.28.1, database is 1.29.0.
Please run zmupdate.pl to update
I run the zmupdate.pl again and it says:
Database already at version 1.29.0, update aborted.
So, is my ZM already update or not? Is that possible to check the ZM version from command line?
What did I missed? and how to fix this?
Thanks a lot
ZM Upgrade problem

Re: ZM Upgrade problem
Sounds like you've got stale files lying around from a previous version of zoneminder. That's the only explanation for your database being at 1.29.0 and your system files still at 1.28.1.
You should have only one zm.conf, and it should be here: /etc/zm/zm.conf and not anywhere else. Don't recycle your old zm.conf file because the contents have changed. For example, the version of zoneminder is no longer stored in this file.
Did you at any time in the past install zoneminder from-source?

Re: ZM Upgrade problem
@bbungethe README file is the same that I read from github.
@knnniggett, Yes I only have one zm.conf and it is in /etc/zm/zm.conf I read that it suppose have file zm.conf.rpmnew right? Because I change the zmuser and zmpass. As far as I remember I never install from source. Is that gonna make the update fail? and any idea how to fix this condition?
Thanks
