Live stream preference mjpeg vs mpeg
As the title implies, I am curious about the live steam option that people prefer, mjpeg or mpeg. I have been successfully testing both options on my new system. As most already know, mjpeg uses less cpu and more bandwidth, while mpeg uses less bandwidth and more cpu, when comparing streams of similar quality. I have been using Charles proxy and htop for my tests. I am in the early stages of rebuilding my old apps, which previously only supported mjpeg. I just found out that the software I build on already supported flv streams for a long time(wish I knew that years ago and would not have had to write my own mjpeg reader). Please let me know what you prefer. Thanks.
