How do you setup email alerts for alarms?

I'd like to have ZM email me but only when I'm away. Is this possible?
I read somewhere either on this forum or elswhere that you could have your smartphone register with zoneminder server via bluethooth. Then create a condition in the filter that emails should be sent only if the smartphone is not within the bluetooth range. (you being effectively "away")
makes sense?
