motion detection

Hi, I'm new in zoneminder so I hope you can really help me. I installed zoneminder in ubuntu server 16.04 and I'm testing for use.
The problem that I have is that my cameras just detect part of the motions, not all, if a person pass in the front door, it doesn't detect, even a car parked in front but this was never detect. I tested passing in from the camera but just detect part of my movements not all. Can you guide me on how to configure properly the motion detection? or is there a problem with my installation? I really appreciate the help. Thank you.

Do you have the same issue with Zoneminder 1.29?
