Hi,

I have a task, to build a system with 50 camera.

I want to use fixed dome cameras, with 720p or 1080p. The frame rate is 3-4fps, coloured.
I want to record 168 hours than delete.

The idea is one powerfull server.
I want to use something like this:

type: IBM iDataPlex dx360 M3
processor: 2x QC Xeon E5620 2,4GHz
ram: 32GB
hdd: 10TB

What do you think? This is enough? Or i need to find more powerfull server?
I don't want to use the server at peak performance.

CPU depends heavily on how/if you are sensing motion, RAM on the ring buffer. Hopefully someone will chime in with specific experience on a setup this large but something to consider.
