Hi,
I have an old IP400 (Not Trendnet IP-400) like this one:
Anyway, it was working fine couple years ago when I tested it with a old version of ZM. Recently I upgrade ZM to v1.29. Now I want put this cam back online. But there is no image showing. (I need put this CAM up next to a Robin's nest. The bird is hatching eggs!)
Here is my setting:
Source Type: Remote
Function: Monitor
Remote Protocal: HTTP
Remote Method: Simple
Remote Host Name: 10.11.22.60
Remote Host Port: 80
Remote Host Path: /image.jpg
The IP400 CAM can be accessed at http://10.11.22.60 and I can also access http://10.11.22.60/image.jpg.
Please help
My old IP400 CAM no image showing
Re: My old IP400 CAM no image showing
I see this error log in my apache:
[Wed Jun 22 10:09:03 2016] [error] [client 10.123.60.1] Symbolic link not allowed or link target not accessible: /usr/libexec/zoneminder/cgi-bin/nph-zms, referer: http://atom.myzmserver.com/zm/index.php ... atch&mid=2

So something wrong with my apache configuration? (My system is CentOS6+Apache)

Hi,
I have the same camera and I´m surprised that you are not using any authentification accesing it. You mentioned that you could access the webserver. Don't you need to provide an user and password?
Try changing the setting for Remote Host Name to be:
user:pwd@10.11.22.60
Post results, I´m using that camera for years and many versions of ZM and it works just fine.
Hope it helps,
PacoLM

After more than 15 years, no longer using ZM as surveillance system.
Now in the dark side, using a commercial system...
Re: My old IP400 CAM no image showing
Thank you PacoLM for the reply.
The security issue is not big deal for now. The IP 10.11.22.X is local subnet and not exposed to Internet.
For now, I gave up on fixing my current ZM server. I'll try to fix it later.
Since I want quickly setup this camera to monitor the bird nest and share with my family and friends, I now build a new ZM server in a cloud VPS. I then forwarded a port on my home router to feed the stream to the VPS/ZM. The port forward rule has source IP restricted to only allow my VPS to access. Then on the ZM I created user accounts for people to login and watch the bird hatching. I used the same setting for the camera in my 1st post and it works fine. Now I am working on the zone setting. One thing I am little worried is the red LED lights in the night vision mode. Hope it's not scare of the bird.
