Is there a way to rerun the monitor/detection on a recorded stream over and over? I would like to be able to record a few streams of video (events that typify the kind of event I want to alarm on, a person walking through a particular area, for example) and then be able to see the effects of different settings on the detection of an alarm?

Yes: You can source video data from a file and feed it as a "camera" to ZM to process, and see what it does. Tune and repeat ...
